Written by a handful of Asian-American authors (Harry H. L. Kitano, Wai-Tsang Yeung, Lyn Chai, and Herbert Hatanaka), this article delves into the topic of interracial marriage, much like the article from a few weeks ago. In this article, however, the topic of Asian-American interracial marriage is highlighted. Generally, Japanese people had a much higher rate of outmarriage, and females outmarried more than males. Interestingly enough, Korean females outmarried more than Japanese or Chinese females.

I find this article intriguing. As a Korean-American student, I often found myself wondering what race my future spouse would be. Having grown up in a predominantly Caucasian area while keeping in touch with my roots, I always pondered what my marriage would be like. I think it is wonderful that people are becoming more open with talking about interracial marriage because that signifies acceptance and inclusiveness.
